This is Sir Titus Salt's textile mill near Bradford, built 1853. I went there on a rainy day, so the photos are not what I hoped for.
I've put this photo up because it illustrates one of the many things that made England great. When the family business got too big for their premises in Bradford, Salt built this new factory and a model village for his workers. It was the biggest factory in the world.
My book "A Picture of East London 2010" is available here.
"Stories from Abney Park Cemetery" is also available to view or purchase.
